What do your lodgings look like?
We are a facility out in the country. We are not fancy. We are clean, and we love our residents. The larger dog runs have an indoor/outdoor option when the weather cooperates. During the summer, we keep the AC on and fans running. During the winter, we have the heater on and every dog gets a blanket. (If they tear it to shreds, it will be ok.) You can see pictures of our kennel in our photo gallery.
Do I need to spay/neuter my pet?
No. We accept pets that are not spayed/neutered. If your female dog is in heat, please let us know so we can make special arrangements.
Do you take care of cats?
Yes, we do. While the majority of our residents are dogs, we do accommodate cats. They get an entire room to play.
What shots does my dog need to have?
We require rabies, Bordatella (kennel cough), and DHPP or some variation. DHPP is distemper (D), infectious hepatitis/adenovirus (H) and parvovirus (P), as well as parainfluenza (P). Any variation of DHPP, such as DHLPP (with leptospirosis), is acceptable.
What are your hours? How late/early can I drop off my pet?
We are open daily from 7 am to 6 pm. You can leave off your pet anytime from 7 am to 5:30 pm. We like to give our new residents time to acclimate to their surroundings. You can pick up anytime from 7 am to 6 pm.
Should I bring my own food?
We recommend that you bring food for your pet. We do provide kennel food at no additional charge, but it’s difficult for animals to switch foods so quickly. They generally get an upset stomach. For that reason, it’s much easier if you provide your own food. There is no additional charge for that.
What else can/should I bring?
You can bring toys, your pet’s bed, or anything else that would make them comfortable. If there are specific treats that you like to use, bring those as well. Anything you bring from home will help your pet feel more comfortable while you’re away.
Will my pet be around other dogs/cats?
We don’t have group play at our kennel. We have several runs, and dogs can interact with others along the fence lines. It’s not uncommon for them to chase each other up and down the fence. While we understand that many dogs love group play, it can be difficult to judge every dog’s temperament. A dog may be great with every dog except one, so for that reason, we let out our dogs by family.
Cats do not interact with other cats. They are kept in separate rooms.
How/when do I pay?
We are currently in the process of setting up online bookings, which will require a 25% deposit refundable up to 7 days before your reservation. Reservations made by phone/email/text will not currently require a deposit. Payment is required in full when your pet is picked up.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, check, and credit cards. There is a 3% service fee for credit cards.
